Poppyseed Dressing Recipe

A healthy poppyseed dressing recipe with a tangy-sweet flavor and simple ingredients. This homemade vinaigrette will have a spot in your regular rotation that's good for many things beyond salad!

  • cup avocado oil (or other neutral tasting oil)
  • cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ tsp dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 tsp poppy seeds


  • Add all the ingredients except for the poppy seeds to the base of your blender.
  • Blend on medium-high until well combined.
  • Now add in the poppy seeds and pulse a few times until they're incorporated throughout the dressing.
  • Store in a tightly sealed jar in the fridge.


  • 1. Alternatively, you can also make this dressing in a glass jar with a tightly sealed lid (mason jars work great for this) and a little muscle.
  • Instead of maple syrup, you can also use raw honey.
  • Use within 7-14 days.
